POLICE are urging residents in Dorset to ensure they report any incidents of catalytic converter theft.
The theft of the car part is a ‘concern’ across the county and officers have called on the public to help them combat it.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Dorset Police acknowledges that catalytic converter theft is a concern in our communities and we are doing everything we can to prevent it.
“This crime happens so quick, so we are asking for your help, someone knows something.
“Please trust us and help us stop this crime from happening.
“You can report it anonymously online at dorset.police.uk/do-it-online”
Earlier this month police in the Blandford area reported an increase in catalytic converter thefts and fuel thefts, ‘typically in the early hours’.
