DRIVERS in and around Dorset will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

* A31, from 8pm March 26 to 6am May 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 westbound, Palmersford to Ameysford, carriageway closure for barrier upgrades, diversion via local authority network.

* A31, from 8pm September 20 2021 to 6am October 3 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 eastbound and westbound, Ringwood to Ashley Heath, carriageway closures for major projects, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

And further closures will begin next week:

* A31, from 9pm May 6 to 6am May 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 eastbound and westbound, Bere Regis to Roundhouse, carriageway closure for vegetation clearance, diversion via local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
