Award-winning writer Ambra Edwards is to give a talk, 'Head Gardeners’, to the Uplyme and Lyme Regis Horticultural Society.
Ambra has a special interest in garden history and particularly the people who make gardens. She has been named Journalist of the Year three times by the Garden Media Guild.
‘Head Gardeners’ was the winner of Inspirational Book of the Year at the Garden Media Guild Awards in 2017 and tells the stories of 16 very different head gardeners, looking at what makes them tick. The talk and book are illustrated by Charlie Hopkinson’s photographs.
The event is at Uplyme Village Hall on Wednesday, April 27 at 7.30pm.
Ambra’s books will be on sale at the talk. Doors open at 7pm for refreshments. Members free; guests £3.
