A BRIDPORT man who assaulted a woman twice has been given a restraining order.
Ryan Gavin Owen, whose address was given as St. Swithins Road, was charged with two counts of assault by beating against a female victim, which took place on two separate occasions, on October 23 and November 2 last year.
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences and was sentenced at Weymouth Magistrates Court on March 16, 2022.
Owen was issued a 12-month community order and must undertake 30 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days and 100 hours of unpaid work.
He was also issued a two-year restraining order preventing him from contacting the victim directly or indirectly and must not attend their address.
He must also pay £150 compensation and £42 towards court costs.
