I AM aware that the town is doing much as a response to the Ukraine crisis.
If we are able to host refugees they will need help learning English.
My suggestion is that a shop in the town centre could be used for language classes and as a place that people from Bridport could drop in to meet and offer support.
I would be happy to teach anyone who wanted to learn and approach publishers for helpful materials.
I was thinking of the former Palmer Snell premises, for example, as opposed to village halls which are relatively hidden away. The council might be happy to waive any business tax if this were a visible community effort.
