A RURAL road in west Dorset, just off the A35, was closed in both directions earlier today due to a broken down lorry.
The lorry had partially blocked Kingston Russell Road, just off the A35 at Kingston Russell Hill, not long after midday.
Officers from Dorset Police attended and closed the route in both directions, as the lorry awaited recovery.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 12.26pm reporting a broken down vehicle in Kingston Russell Road just off the A35 at Kingston Russell Hill.
“It was reported that the road was partially blocked. Officers have attended and recovery is being arranged.”
Kingston Russell Road was closed both ways between the A35 at Higher Kingston Russell and Greenford Lane while the lorry awaited recovery.
