WITH the weather getting warmer and people heading out more police in Dorset have issued a warning to motorists about leaving items in cars.
Dorset Police has urged residents to ensure they remove any valuable items and ensure their vehicle is locked.
A spokesperson for the force said: “If you are heading out to one of our many local beauty spots to make the most of this lovely weather, please ensure you leave your vehicles secured.
“We have seen a number of vehicles parked with windows not secure and items left on display leaving them vulnerable to acquisitive crime.
“Please ensure your cars are secured and any loose items including bags, coats and loose change are out of sight.”
