EMERGENCY services were called to a property near the town centre this morning.
An emergency response car from the fire service was called to St Andrews Road in Bridport around 7am to attend a 'medical emergency' involving an elderly person.
The South Western Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST) were also in attendance.
A spokeswoman from DWFRS said: "Our co-responder car from Bridport was mobilised to a property in St Andrews Road, Bridport at 6:55am this morning following a request from SWAST to attend a medical emergency.
"The firefighter on duty attended the address and assisted an elderly resident until the ambulance crew were in attendance.
"The stop message came back at 7:47am."
