AN APPEAL has been launched regarding a rare dog that has gone missing from a village near Dorchester.
Awen, a 15-month-old grey Siberian Husky has been missing for 10 days and was last seen in Batcombe, northwest of Dorchester.
She was last seen in Batcombe on March 7.
Awen's owner, Daniel Waters said: I and many others have been on a full-time stakeout looking for her.
"She is very petite, like the size of a fox, and quite dark unusual markings, often called Agouti Husky.
"She was last seen in the Batcombe area and Hendover coppice.
"She is chipped, was spayed eight weeks ago, so short fur can be seen on her stomach.
"She's very friendly, but she may be avoidant and in survival mode, if seen, and she is of sled-dog ancestry."
Information can also be logged to Dog Lost, a national community of thousands of dog owners and volunteers.
