POLICE in Dorset have warned people of drug dealers taking over the homes of the vulnerable to use as a base for dealing in the county.

The technique is known as cuckooing and is often used by county lines gangs to operate from people’s homes.

Police have urged residents to ensure they know the signs of county lines, which includes the use of children and vulnerable adults both in Dorset and around the country.

A spokesperson for Dorchester Police said: “County lines drugs gangs use children and vulnerable adults from Dorset to carry drugs and money.
