DETAILS of a seven-home development off New Street, Marnhull are open for public comment.
The proposal, for land adjacent to Joyces, was granted ‘in principle’ permission in 2018.
Dorset Council has now received an application from R B Snook Building Ltd with the full details of the project including layout and scale.
The application says the new homes are to be set back from the road with parking for each hidden from public view which will reflect the type of development already found on the same side of New Street. The application claims there will be “no adverse impact upon the amenity of the existing neighbouring dwellings.”
Three homes to the north of the site will match two homes already built under a previous consent, each will be 3-bed, with two parking spaces and a detached garage.
Four larger homes, of 4-bed, are proposed to the south of the site with each having either two or three parking spaces and laid out along a turning area large enough to accommodate refuse and delivery vehicles.
Further details can be seen on the Dorset Council website, ref 2021/05447, with public comments open until February 2nd.
