A Lyme Regis man has been given a restraining order and must undertake unpaid work after pleading guilty to assault.
Casey Levett, aged 39, and of Queens Walk, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on January 11 and admitted assaulting a victim in Lyme Regis on 25 September 2021.
He also admitted a second charge of failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Weymouth Magistrates Court, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on November 10, 2021.
The defendant was ordered to participate in a Thinking Skills programme and carry out unpaid work for 100 hours within the next 12 months.
A restraining order was also made which remains in place until January 10, 2023.
Levett must also pay compensation of £100, and must pay costs of £85.
