A number of west Dorset hospitality businesses have been announced as finalists in the prestigious Trencherman’s Awards 2022.
The annual dining awards give gourmets the opportunity to champion their favourite chefs, restaurants, hotels, dining pubs and front-of-house teams.
The second round of voting closed on Wednesday and the finalists have now been announced. They will be invited to the awards ceremony at The Alverton Hotel in Truro on March 7.
Before the finalists were announced the local nominees which made the shortlist for various categories included Tom's Lyme Regis, The Club House, West Bexington, the Acorn Inn, Evershot, the Alexandra Hotel and Restaurant, Lyme Regis, the Fox Inn, Corscombe, The Seaside Boarding House, Burton Bradstock and the Three Horseshoes Pub & Kitchen, Burton Bradstock.
Local businesses which have made the final include: the Acorn Inn and the Fox Inn (Best Trencherman’s Pub); the Acorn Inn and Tom's Lyme Regis (Best Front of House Team); Three Horseshoes Pub & Kitchen, Burton Bradstock and Tom's Lyme Regis (Best Newcomer)
Meanwhile celebrity chef Mark Hix who has the Oyster & Fish House in Lyme and the Fox Inn at Corscombe is in the running for the Award for Special Contribution for his worl at the Oyster & Fish House.
