Two weeks ago I had completed my Thursday shopping in Bridport.
The last port of call was Lidl and my card could not be read so I used the chip and pin. I thought no more about it until a day later when I realised that I had mislaid my credit card.
I retraced my steps and asked everyone’s favourite till man, Ian (a fixture at the number 1 till at Lidl).
He said a man had found my card in the car park and handed it to him, whereupon it was deposited in the shop safe.
I am delighted by the honesty shown by the man in the Lidl car park and the efficiency of the Lidl lost property system and am very relieved – in this day of £100 transactions on cards – that my card was handed in. Another very good reason to live in this wonderful area.
