Beaminster Museum holds it next Winter Talk on Tuesday, January 18 on the ‘History of Corscombe’ when Freda Hennessy will talk about fields, farms and families.

This is a series of ‘snapshots’ of a large rural parish in West Dorset - work and leisure, religion, health and personalities.

Corscombe has been part of no political or military upheavals.

Its history gives a ‘benign and illuminating picture’ of a typical self-contained parish from Saxon times to the 21st century.

The talk is at 2.30pm and entry is £3. Reduced seating capacity for Covid safety.

Meanwhile, Friends of the Museum are reminded of the AGM on Wednesday, January 26 at 2.30pm. This event will be taking place at the museum this year, with Covid precautions in place.
