We have seen a lot of letters published in these pages recently criticising West Dorset MP Chris Loder for voting against vaccine passports and other Covid restrictions.
We even see imputations that doing so makes him unsuitable for office as if every Member of Parliament should just sign on to whatever direction the government is heading in this week.
I am no Conservative and I did not vote for Chris Loder at the last election. But it is refreshing to see someone in Parliament thinking for himself rather than backing more restrictions, more ruin of our economy and more destruction of our freedoms.
Mr Loder can fairly be criticised for helping to cover for Owen Patterson and for failing to address the issue of sewage in rivers, but on this particular issue he is right.
