The Rotary Club of Lyme Regis' Carols Round the Tree
Organisers have cancelled the Carols Round the Christmas Tree event due to take place this evening in Lyme Regis.
A spokesman for Lyme Regis Rotary Club said: “We are sorry to have to announce that, in the public health interest, we have decided to cancel Carols Round the Christmas Tree in Broad Street this year. With the rise in Covid cases nationally and locally and the advice from the Chief Medical Officer it is really the only sensible pathway open to us.”
Rotarians will be out in Broad Street today and in Charmouth tomorrow for the usual Christmas Collection which this year is for Children’s Hospice South West. Residents are urged to give generously.
