DORSET Council is offering free guided ‘Health Walks’ to help residents get more active and meet new people.

The Dorset Health Walks offer more than 30 weekly walks on multiple days of the week which take place all over the county - including Bridport.

The walks, which are supported by Dorset Council's Health and Activity team working in partnership with The Ramblers national programme of Wellbeing Walks, are led by trained volunteers who welcome participants at each location and provide encouragement and support throughout the walk.

The Health and Activity Team at Dorset Council said: "A health walk is a free, short and regular guided walk that lasts between ten to ninety minutes for people of all abilities. They are the perfect way to get more active and to meet new people.

"With so many beautiful parks, green spaces, towns and villages waiting to be explored in Dorset, these community walks give you the opportunity to discover new places in the fresh air and to socialise afterwards."

Walks are also available within Dorset’s Country Parks, and most are located near public transport.
