Anyone seeking inspiration for making their Christmas table look fabulous should join the Uplyme and Lyme Regis Horticultural Society’s talk and demonstration ‘How to create a festive Christmas table’ at Uplyme Village Hall on Wednesday, December 15.

Bex Partridge of Botanical Tales, is an Uplyme-based floral artist who grows and dries flowers and seedheads to create wild, natural, long lasting and entirely sustainable designs for everyday use and special occasions.

Bridport and Lyme Regis News:

She will show how to create a table centre for the dining table at Christmas using all-natural materials. (Further details about Bex’s workshops and Christmas wreaths can be found at www.botanicaltales.com)

Doors open at 7pm when refreshments, including mince pies and mulled wine (plus non-alcoholic version), will be available. All welcome: members free; guests £3.

This will also be an ideal time for members to renew their subscription or for new members to join. The cost remains at £6 for 2022 which is excellent value for a diverse programme of 25 trips, talks and events laid on throughout the year.

Also on a festive theme, the Horticultural Society will be participating in the annual Christmas Tree festival at the Baptist Church in Silver Street, Lyme Regis, on 17-18 December.
