RESIDENTS are being encouraged to stuff a sock full of everyday items to be given to those less fortunate this Christmas.
Organiser Amy Rosser, who is running the project in conjunction with Weymouth Food Bank, is asking people to fill a sock with a selection of items to be given to those who need it.
Those items could include toothbrush and toothpaste, roll on deodorant, sweets or chocolate, a comb, baby wipes, underwear, sanitary products and lip balm.
However, it is requested to not include money, razors or alcohol - which includes hand gels.
Donations can be dropped off at Weymouth Food Bank’s warehouse in 20-22 Albany Road, Granby Industrial Estate between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Alternatively collection can be arranged by contacting weymouthstuffasock@outlook.com
