CREWS from Dorset’s emergency services attended a ‘Pull a Pine’ event at RSPB Arne over the weekend.
Members of the county’s search and rescue and some of the team from Wareham Fire Station joined the event to assist the RSPB with their tree pulling event which ‘helps restore the heathland’ on Saturday.
The trees were then taken home by people who went along to put up at home.
A Dorset Search and Rescue spokesperson said it was ‘great to see some of our members braving the cold and volunteering’ on Saturday ‘to assist the RSPB with their annual Pull a Pine Event at RSPB Arne’.
Those who went along were also able to tie a ribbon around the search and rescue team’s wish tree and hear some Christmas carols
Also in attendance was some of the Wareham Fire Station team with Uni Mogg to assist with the event, along with a variety of stalls offering food, drinks and crafts to purchase.
