A SEX offender has avoided an immediate prison sentence after failing to comply with registration requirements.
Paul Meaden, of Owls Road, Bournemouth, failed to comply with the sex offender notification requirements in that he failed to provide an update to the authorities on his new address within three days.
Meaden, 25, previously pleaded guilty to the offence, which was committed in London on October 18, and appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 17, for sentencing.
The bench committed him to prison for 24 weeks, suspended for two years.
This suspended term included an electronic monitoring of whereabouts requirement, which runs for four months.
The defendant was also required to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work, to complete up to 40 rehabilitation activity days and pay a £128 surcharge.
