THE CAR completely destroyed by fire at a popular beauty spot has been removed after four days.
One crew from Christchurch attended the blaze at Hengistbury Head just after midnight on Saturday, November 20 following two calls from the public.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries into the incident and to identify the vehicle are ongoing. The local authority was notified in relation to recovery of the vehicle.”
After police cordoned the area off, the wreck was left for four days until a removal on Wednesday November 24 was arranged.
A BCP Council spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a burnt-out vehicle on Hengistbury Head. This was removed around 3.00pm yesterday and we have cleared any remaining debris from the road and grass banks.”
