DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James described tomorrow’s derby with rivals Balti Sports as a “massive game” (2pm).
In midweek, James’ men warmed up for the clash at the Avenue Stadium with Weymouth-based Balti by beating a strong Shaftesbury Town Reserves side 6-3 to advance to the Dorset Premier League Cup semi-finals.
Home advantage tends to be key in this rivalry and Dorchester Sports are hoping to claim a seventh consecutive home victory this season.
Speaking to Echosport, James said: “Balti is a massive game. Form goes completely out of the window.
“In these derby games we know we’re going to be in for a really tough game. We’ll be ready for everything Balti chuck at us.”

Opposing boss Marco Nott said: “It’s a big game, no matter what happens whether you’re doing well or not, if you get the bragging rights in a derby it always gives a sweet feel to it.
“It’s notoriously always tight and they’ve got a good record against us at home, as we have when we’re at home.
“We’re obviously hoping to change that and if we can’t raise our game against Dorch Sports we shouldn’t be playing football!”
