A skilled wildlife artist is displaying her most recent work in a Poundbury exhibition.

Something Wild by Kate Wyatt can be seen at the Gallery on the Square in Queen Mother Square, Poundbury from now until December 12.

Kate, who grew up in the Weymouth area, is one of Britain’s foremost wildlife artists.

She went to art school in Bournemouth and later in London where she gained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. She often returns to paint and draw both the wildlife she sees and the beautiful landscape along the south west coast path on Portland where her family live.

The paintings on display include Kate’s beloved hares, oil paintings, watercolours and drawings of a variety of British wildlife as well as her exclusive greetings cards.

She likes to change her choice of medium to suit her subject and prefers to work from life as much as possible.
