A SAFE space for people to talk about their feelings on climate change is coming to Bridport.

Soulshine Café on South Street is hosting two climate café sessions in the coming months to give residents a safe and supportive space for them to talk about their feelings on climate change. The group will be supported by trained volunteer facilitators and is a confidential space for people to people to express their views and listen to others.

A spokesman for the events said: "The climate crisis brings many problems, but also positive opportunities. It can stir up painful emotions, such as fear and anger.

"One reason climate cafés are popular is that many people find it very supportive and empowering to be able to express their feelings and be heard by others.

"The upside of the crisis can include recovering our connection with nature and our sense of community: realising we are in this together, and can support each other in many ways."

The climate café is free to attend and refreshments are available to buy. The first session will take place from 2pm until 4pm on November 18.
