CARE workers from across the county have been put front and centre in a new recruitment advert which is airing on TV.

Dorset care workers are set to feature in the new ‘You care, so do we’ recruitment and retention campaign for national independent care provider Agincare.

The campaign comes following the Covid pandemic and care worker shortages, and focuses on recruitment plus support, development and recognition of Agincare’s workforce across the country.

Based in Castletown on Portland, Agincare this year celebrates its 35th anniversary of chairman and founder Derek Luckhurst opening his first care home in nearby Weymouth.

The recruitment campaign saw care workers come together at a studio in the Old Bakery in Poole to film a promotional video, which is to feature online and as an advert on Sky TV.

Head of Customer Relations, Jamie Powell, said: "Agincare prides itself on putting people first, that goes for our dedicated workforce as well as the people that we deliver high quality care for across the country.

"We want to not only welcome lots of new recruits with a passion for caring, but continue to build a great workplace experience where every team member can flourish and grow their career.

"Our new ‘You care, so do we’ plan will benefit everyone that works for us, and, ultimately everyone we care for too."

Agincare said it expects the campaign to increase hires, improve retention and further improve satisfaction rates amongst its workers and clients.

Offline and online content will continue to roll out over coming weeks, such as video interviews with Agincare workers featured in the video, plus care home worker Sansom Bailey from Wimborne and Bournemouth-based live-in carer Debbie Grice.

Agincare has grown to be one of the largest independent care providers nationwide with some 3,500 team members delivering high quality care from more than 50 locations.
