THE STARS are out in Lyme Regis today and it appears two more have been spotted.

Warner Bros and the Roald Dahl Story Co’s upcoming movie ‘Wonka’ is currently being filmed on the Cobb in Lyme Regis, both today and tomorrow.

Photos taken by councillor Daryl Turner show comedian and actor Matt Lucas, dressed in a bowler hat, trench coat and round glasses.

Stood next to him appears to be Paterson Joseph of Peep Show fame, who recently appeared in popular BBC drama Vigil.

Starring Timothée Chalamet as Willy Wonka, the movie is a brand-new adaptation based on the characters created by children’s author Roald Dahl for the beloved novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Timothée Chalamet was spotted this morning in full costume as the titatular Willy Wonka, walking along the Cobb.

The Lyme Regis Cobb has seen a lot of activity throughout the day, with production crews and extras taking over the area to produce the shots required.

It is not currently known which other actors will be a part of the filming in Lyme Regis.

Wonka is set to be released on March 17, 2023.
