Nature journalist and author Patrick Barkham is the next speaker lined up in the Help Our Planet series of talks at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.
He will talk on 'why children need more nature in their lives and how we can provide this' in an event on Tuesday, November 9 at 7pm.
As well as being natural history writer for The Guardian, Mr Barkham is author of the best-selling books The Butterfly Isles, Badgerlands, Coastlines and Islander. His latest book is Wild Child. He lives in Norfolk with his family and is one of a generation of British authors who have injected popular vitality and literary respectability into nature writing.
His books on British wildlife have turned thousands of readers on to the mysteries of the countryside.
Mr Barkham's talk will be followed by a panel discussion and the evening will end with questions from the audience.
