THE TEAM behind a local jazz festival are putting together an exciting music programme for the coming months.
The Jazz Jurassica team will be putting on a series of shows with a variety of latin, funk and jazz music at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.
The series will kick off with six-person latin music band, Orpheus, on Thursday, October 21. This will followed by two performances in November from the Jonah Hitchen's Band and Celebrating Joni Mitchell, on Friday, November 12 and Thursday, November 18, respectively. In December ten top jazz musicians will celebrate the life and music of bandleader and broadcaster, Humphrey Lytellton, in 'Salute to Humph. The artists will recreate the band music of the 40s and 50s which Mr Lytellton did much to promote.
The organisers are advising customers to book tickets well in advance as events are booking up quickly. If events have to be cancelled for any reason, tickets will be refunded in full.
