THE PEOPLE of Bridport came up trumps to raise funds for chemotherapy at home services.
The Fortuneswell Cancer Trust, a charity which seeks to improve services for cancer patients in Dorset, held its first street collection since the pandemic in Bridport earlier this month.
The team was able to raise £239 at Bucky Doo Square and many people expressed their interest in the trust's work to improve cancer services at Dorset County Hospital.
Along with being used to by various items and equipment, the funds raised will also be used to establish and fund a 'Chemotherapy at Home' service which will offer treatment at home to suitable patients.
David Evans, chairman of the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust, said: "The people of Bridport and Lyme Regis have always been keen supporters of Fortuneswell and we enjoyed the opportunity to chat to so many who have helped us in the past."
