HI READERS, it’s Emily and William here this week talking about what helps keep us going.

I, William, have a diary where I write in things like Friendship Club events, days I am working (and where) and appointments like the doctors or dentist. Yesterday I went to the dentist for a check up and found I have a half broken tooth so I went for a X-ray in the hospital. When I find out when my next appointment is to fix it, I will write it in my diary so I don’t forget.

If I want to cook it helps me to use recipes which I keep in my folder. My iPad is important to help get me through my day as I can message my friends. As I live alone being able to do this is important, so I don’t feel lonely. I like the messages from Paul, who does a lot of star gazing!

As for me, Emily, what keeps me going is my weekly planner wipe board. Each Monday I scrub it all off and start again. I put on staff names, our meals for the week, reminders to shower and brush my teeth – it all goes on there! If I forget to write something on it, like brushing my teeth or a meeting, I will probably forget to do it or go. My planner is really important to me as it helps me to do more things independently, without reminders from staff.

Diet Coke also helps me get through each day! I don’t have a day when I don’t have at least one. If I go to the fridge and there isn’t any there, I have to go to the shops and get one. What helps you readers, get through each week?
