THERE has been a new coronavirus-related death recorded at Dorset County Hospital.
Figures released by the NHS show a patient has died with coronavirus at Dorset County Hospital (DCH) in Dorchester on August 31.
The last recorded Covid-19 death at DCH - prior to the update - was on Sunday, August 8.
Elsewhere, the figures reveal that 760 people have died with coronavirus at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) since the start of the pandemic.
The latest recorded Covid-19 death at the UHD was on Monday, August 30. A single coronavirus-related death was recorded on Sunday, August 29, while a further five deaths were all recorded on Thursday, August 26.
UHD incorporates the former Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals Trust, as well as Poole Hospital.
Dorset Healthcare, the trust responsible for community hospitals and mental health care, has recorded 73 Covid-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic, with the last recorded Covid-19 death at Dorset Healthcare Universities Trust was recorded on March 14.
