POLICE have issued a warning to members of the public on how to keep young people safe from child exploitation.
Dorset Police are highlighting the ways criminals could try to gain young people's trust and spot the signs of exploitation as soon as possible.
A few examples of how to help include checking games content and features if they have online access, remember to use privacy and parental controls, turn location settings off in mobile apps, and make an agreement with your child about time online and stick to it.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "If a child is being exploited, we know it’s really difficult for them to tell anyone.
"Children need the support of adults they trust before they can talk about their experiences.
"There are links to help and advice on how to support young people on our website. Remember we can help keep children safe."
