A POPULAR band is returning to the town for an event taking place at Bridport's Women's Institute hall later this year.
The Skimmity Hitchers will be the headlining act at the Ropes on the Road event taking place at the Bridport WI Hall on Wednesday, November 24.
The band are regulars at the Ropemakers on West Street and are as comfortable playing intimate pub gigs as they are headlining festivals, but this will be their first performance in a WI hall.
The Skimmity Hitchers blend razor sharp parodies with original material and a raucous stage show, full of spontaneous audience interaction, cheeky banter and their dancing badger.
Supporting the act on the night will be John D Revelator.
The event runs from 7pm until 10.30pm. Tickets are £10.
