A MAN has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Bridport this afternoon.
West Bay Road near Morrison has been partially blocked after a male pedestrian was hit by a car.
Police and ambulance services attended the incident and the man was taken to hospital. His injuries are not said to be life-threatening.
There are reports of heavy traffic going in and out of Bridport following the collision.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 1.49pm on Thursday 19 August 2021 to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on West Bay Road near Bridport. Officers attended with the ambulance service.
"The male pedestrian attended hospital for treatment, his injuries are not life-threatening. The road was cleared at around 2.45pm."
