A BRIDPORT charity is putting on an event to provide support for RAF veterans.

The Bridport RAF Association is hosting a 'Brew for the Few' tea party on Sunday, August 22.

Like so many other charitable organisations throughout the year, the Bridport RAFA has been unable to arrange any events as a result of the pandemic.

The RAF association holds its National Wings Appeal every September to commemorate the Battle of Britain and to honour the sacrifices made by those who withstood the German onslaught in what was a decisive turning point of the Second World War.

The event will take place at the Salthouse at West Bay between midday and 5pm.

Tea, coffee, cake and biscuits will be provided and visitors will have a chance learn more about what the group do to help veterans.

There will also be various flight and RAF related videos, including a flight by a local hang glider with footage of the Jurassic Coast as well as a sale on the day of RAFA related items.
