A DUCK race is taking place to ensure a Christmas lights display can go ahead this year.
Lyme Regis' Summer Duck Race will take place this weekend to raise funds for this year's Christmas lights display in the town.
The race will take place this Sunday, August 22, starting at the Windsor Terrace on the River Lim from 2pm.
There are prizes available for the top three ducks, with first place winning £50, second getting £25, third being given £10 and last place getting a consolation prize of £5.
All funds raised will go towards the town's Christmas lights display.
Ducks can be purchased from Joshua and Annette Denning who will be in the Marine Parade Shelters on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week or online at www.lymechristmaslights.co.uk/
