AN EXHIBITION showcasing the works of a renowned Dorset sculptor and printmaker is currently under way in Bridport.

Organised by art retailer, Arts on Paper, the exhibition is made up of 19 limited edition drawings by Elisabeth Frink.

Elisabeth Frink lived and worked in Woolland House, near Blandford Forum from the late 1970s until her death.

The etchings depict scenes from Chaucer’s ‘Canterbury Tales’, and show landscapes and characters that reflect the style of Frink’s sculptures and her interest in pattern and form.

The exhibition is taking place in the gallery space of Paperback Conservation Studio, 2 Gundry Lane, Bridport.

Katy Mugford from Art on Paper said: “It’s great to be able to show this fabulous set of etchings together in Dorset, a place that Frink made her own and where in turn, there is a lot of support for her work. Elisabeth Frink is an artist I was familiar with growing up and I'm very pleased that we have a set of her etchings.”

The exhibition began on Saturday, August 7 and will continue through to Saturday, August 21. It runs daily from 10am until 4pm.
