THERE are a lot of interesting comments as to why, or why not, South Street should be pedestrianised.
Some shop keepers are concerned about deliveries, disabled drivers are concerned about convenient parking near the shops.
However, if South Street was made one way only, up to town hall, with no turning into it from East or West Streets, surely this would appease a lot of people.
It would improve traffic flow through town thus reducing pollution. Disabled drivers and delivery vans and lorries would be able to road park without causing a blockage.
