MILLBROOK are an “unknown quantity” for Bridport, according to Bees’ boss Rob Marquis.

Bridport embark on their first trip to Cornwall in this Toolstation Western League Premier Division season on Saturday (3pm).

The Bees currently sit bottom after losses to Helston, Shepton Mallet and Street.

Millbrook, meanwhile, are 17th of the 19 sides in the division having played just one game – a 2-0 loss to Mousehole.

With Millbrook sidestepping from the South West Peninsula League, Marquis expects a typically tough test from the Magpies.

He told the Bridport News: “They’re an unknown quantity.

“I’d imagine they’ll be an organised outfit, I’m assuming they’ve been together a while and will work well off the ball.

“To be honest, I think we’ve got to concentrate on what we’re doing.

“It’s hard for the lads, they don’t want to lose every week. We can only do our best.

“We’ll prepare as well as we can and I’ll always go with a positive outlook. I always try and be as positive as I can in the changing room.

“I’ll pick the side that’s best equipped and it works better just working on what we can do.”

“The coach is picking us up at nine o’clock, so it’s a fair trip and it’ll be a long journey home if we don’t have a good day.”

Troy Walbridge and Malakai Stanners will be assessed after picking up minor knocks in the defeat to Street.
