POLICE have been given a pot of cash to help tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) across Dorset.

The Operation Relentless Community Fund has been set up to help groups and charities in Dorset take action and tackle ASB in their area.

The new grant is open to organisations that want to put in place projects and initiatives that reduce ASB and increase public feeling of safety in areas disproportionately affected by ASB.

Applications from £100 up to £5,000 are welcome - but the projects must address ASB and have a specific-area focus.

Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner, David Sidwick said: "This is me making good on my promise to take action and help all of those people who have told me that they want to do something about anti-social behaviour in their community.

"It's time to make a real, long-lasting difference to our communities and work together to make our county the safest in England and Wales.
