A LOCAL women's institute is alive and kicking and looking for new members ahead of their next face-to-face meeting in September.
Throughout the lockdown, Colmer W.I. members were involved in making PPE for NHS staff and most recently provided cakes for the Bridport Food Festival.
Members have kept in touch over the past year through the group's monthly newsletter and Zoom meetings.
Members will be meeting in person for the first time since the pandemic began on Thursday, September 9, celebrating the occasion with a cocktail tasting. Following that they will be meeting on the second Thursday of every month at the W.I. Hall on North Street.
The group is now looking for new members to join the community. Whether they have previously been a member or not, residents are invited to join for an evening without obligation.
