BEAMINSTER Museum has reopened once again coming out of lockdown.

The museum reopened for the first time this year on Saturday, July 24, following the seven month lockdown period.

Visitors are welcomed back to enjoy the revamped museum after building works were carried out over the winter, including an extension of the rear of the museum.

A number of displays are up and running covering all aspects of local history, including for this summer only, the 'Growing for Gold' exhibition, detailing the time Beaminster won a gold medal in 1980 - at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Visitors will also be able to have a peek into two new rooms set to open in spring 2022.

The new 'Town Trail' can also be purchased, guiding people around the streets of Beaminster whilst educating them on the history of the town. Included in the £1 price is a children's activity which seeks out exciting door-knockers, included in the price of £1. The trail is available from the museum shop or Yarn Barton Information Centre.
