MONTHLY talks with experts in the arts are set to return in September.

The Arts Society West Dorset has launched its return programme of events from September until June 2022.

From Thursday, September 9, the society will run monthly events at Bridport Town Hall, each one starting at 2.30pm. The events will feature a range of speakers, all of which are nationally recognised experts within the arts - including many returning guests whose appearances were cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

The first event on September 9 is entitled 'Architecture for Animals: Beastly Buildings' - which includes such historical happenings as a castle being build for cows in Yorkshire in 1775 and a Grecian temple being designed for pigs in the early 1800s. Writer, photographer, and broadcaster on architectural subjects, Lucinda Lambton, will be the guest speaker at this talk.

To buy a ticket for every one of the events until June, membership costs £50 per year. Visitors at individual talks are also welcome, at £7.50 per talk.
