BEAMINSTER Library has reopened to the public.

The library reopened for the first time since the lockdown today and is now welcoming back customers. Residents will once again be able to browse books and items to borrow and access a range of services, including use of computers and printing.

The library will be open two days a week to begin with, opening from 2.30pm until 6.30pm on Mondays and from 9.30pm until 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 5pm on Thursdays.

Beginning Saturday, August 7, the library will also be open on Saturdays, from 9.30am until 12pm.

A number of Covid measures are remaining in place at the library. Customers are encouraged to wear face coverings, sanitise hands on arrival and socially distance from staff and other customers.

All Dorset Council Libraries have now resumed normal opening hours, although are not yet able to provide their full range of events and activities.
