THE grounds of a historic mill house on the River Frome will be opening this Sunday to raise money for charity

This weekend the grounds of Bindon Mill near Wool will be open to the public on Sunday, July 4, to raise funds for Weldmar Hospicecare.

Visitors will be able to go along anytime from 10:30am to 4:00pm, to enjoy the vibrant and colourful gardens, as well as wildlife including swans, ducks, kingfishers, and an abundance of garden birds.

There is an impressive shrub garden, hosta beds, and an eclectic collection of garden ornaments, all in sight of the ruins of the 12th century Bindon Abby.

It is the first time that the grounds will have been open to the public since before the coronavirus pandemic.

Entry is £5 for adults, with children getting in free, and there will be light refreshments and cream teas on offer.

All of the money raised on the day will go to Weldmar Hospicecare, which provides end of life care for people living in Dorset, as well as support to their families and loved ones.
