TWO people had to be given first aid after inhaling dangerous gases from mixing pool chemicals together.

Crews from Bridport Fire Station, Charmouth Fire Station and Crewkerne Fire Station, along with a hazmat officer attended the chemical incident on Monday morning after receiving a call at 11.12am in Stoke Abbott, near Beaminster.

An ambulance was reported to be on the scene when fire services arrived providing first aid to two people who had inhaled gases after mixing pool chemicals together.

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "Luckily no one was seriously harmed. Its an important reminder to always read the label and follow the instruction when dealing with chemicals."
