POLICE officers have warned residents to be vigilant after a driver was seen acting suspiciously by a field of sheep.
This morning, Bridport Police received a report of a 'suspicious incident' involving a Land Rover Discovery which was seen by a field of sheep in Powerstock.
Once the driver spotted the caller, they drove off in the Poorton area.
A spokesman for Bridport Police said: "We have had a report of a suspicious incident in the Powerstock area, where a Land Rover Discovery was seen by a field of sheep.
"The driver was seen to be pointing into the field and, when they spotted the caller, they drove off towards the Poorton area.
"Please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us on 101 at the time, or 999 if you believe a crime is in progress."
