AN EXHIBITION put together by a local artist is set to be launched to welcome visitors back to Lyme Regis Museum.

The museum, which is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary, has a new exhibition of artwork created by Lyme Regis author and illustrator, Carolyn King.

'Telling Tales' is the third solo exhibition Ms King has put on in the museum's Rotunda Gallery.

It is comprised of 'pictures, words and whimsy' she created for three of her children’s books: About a Bee, Along Came a Seagull and The Fish Lizard of Lyme.

All three books were inspired by Lyme Regis and made using the traditional mediums of egg tempera and pencil.

To see these original works and meet the animals and people she depicts, the exhibition can be seen at the museum from the reopening date of Wednesday, May 19 until Saturday, June 19, from Wednesdays to Saturdays between 10am and 4pm.
